Hong Wen School is the FIRST PRIMARY SCHOOL to have created this record of the Most Number of Skips in An Hour! They have jumped 532 714 skips in an hour!Thank you for your wonderful effort in making this a reality! Without all of you fervently skipping or the teachers and volunteers counting non-stop counting in an hour during the Record Breaking Attempt at Hong Wen School on 19th November 2009, it would be impossible for us to create this NEW Record.
We would like to thank Mr Ngoh, the supportive Principal for supporting this crazy idea of mine. Not forgetting Mr Goh, Mr Teo Puay Hing and Ms Huda for helping to collate the thousands of record sheets in 4 hours time. Without them, this would be uphill task for us.
The effort goes not only to you but also to the ex-pupils, Aloysius, Xuan Lin, Bing Han who were either jumping or counting non-stop! =) The thank you list goes on as we have to thank Yong Kiong, Cat, Wee Peng, Wee Teng, Ryan, Daphane, Vanessa and her school mates from Dunman High School.
Of course, we would like to thank my long time battle mates, Mr and Mrs Peter Sim, Erica, Pamela, Mavis and Iris who have helped me in one way or the other. We hope we could do more with all of you.
Wishing all of you good health and live blissfully ever after.
Rope skipping is a fabulous sport that incorporates both freestyle (performed to music) and speed elements (timed events where the skipper’s steps are counted). Skipping includes single rope, partner skills, long rope, double dutch skills and group Our mission is to nurture and develop a cohesive, supportive and competitive environment in which skippers inculcate a truly competitive and sportsman living ethic that would propel them in a passionate quest for excellence.
